The Last House on The Left. (2009)
All the posters that i have put together are all Thriller ones, as you can see they all follow the same pattern, dark colours, shadows, blood ect.
All of the posters are different in many ways but they use colours that represent the mood in the photo, you dont usually see alot of bright colours, they usually use alot of dark and gloomy colours, for example alot of black is used which is describing mystery. Each poster focuses on the main character or characters in the poster, they are either a very close up shot or a long shot of the characters or character, they are either close up or long shot because they either want to show their emotion in their body language in their facial expression.
Here i have got a poster from the film The Last House On The Left, as you can see you immediately get scared because of how creepy looking it is. The red text on the word house and the splattered red blood marks around it in the colour red surely suggests danger, bloody and death, the contrast of the black and red is symbolic as these two colours of course symbolise danger and death which you can see looking from at the poster. The picture of the house looks very creepy and has a slight vibe that makes you not want to go near it, and because of the colours it comes across very cold and unwelcoming, the text at the bottom of the poster saying ‘ If bad people hurt the one you love, how far would you go to hurt them back?’ this certainly shocks and scares the audience as you now know that something bad will happen in this film and the family will seek revenge.
Black is the main feature in this poster and there is alot of shadowing and this is classifying that something bad is going to happen.
